4-H Awards

This session discusses the 4-H Awards Program. In this session leaders will learn about Junior and Senior member awards, grade 11 and 12 external high school credit opportunities, 4-H Achievement, and planning a 4-H awards event.

Introduction to 4-H

This training program is mandatory for all 4-H leaders within their first two years of leadership.  In this session leaders will learn about the history, objectives, and structure of the 4-H program in BC.  The session will provide access to tools and resources that can help 4-H leaders support their members in making the most of the 4-H experience

9:00 am-12:00 pm            Project Teaching

This session will help leaders and parents develop skills that will be helpful in teaching youth about 4-H project work. The session will not be project specific but will focus on teaching techniques, understanding 4-H record books, and planning Achievement Days.

 

12:00-12:30 pm                 Lunch

 

12:30-3:00 pm                   4-H Communications Program

This session discusses the 4-H Communications program. This workshop will focus on teaching and evaluating 4-H communications, including public speaking, demonstrations, speak and show, and educational displays. This session will also help leaders plan a 4-H Communications event.
