Time: 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm - 4-H Teamwork

This session will help leaders take steps to build their 4-H club into an effective team through communications, engaging parents as partners, involving members in leadership, and celebrating success.

Saturday, September 19

Location: Tower Lake Community Hall - 5018-226th Road, Taylor, BC V0C 2K0

Time: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm - Introduction to 4-H

This training program is mandatory for all 4-H leaders within their first two years of leadership. In this session leaders will learn about the history, objectives, and structure of the 4-H program in BC. The session will provide access to tools and resources that can help 4-H leaders support their members in making the most of the 4-H experience.

Time: 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm - 4-H Club Management

In this workshop leaders will consider how to plan out their 4-H club year. We will also explore resources available to teach 4-H members meeting skills such as parliamentary procedure, club executive roles, and more. Finally, we will review challenging meeting behaviours and what leaders can do to help members get the most out of their meetings.
