About the contest:

Win a donation for your local foodbank this holiday season!

Does your family love to use local, BC food ingredients in their holiday cooking? Help spread local cheer and enter the Buy BC / 4-H Instagram contest to win a donation for your local foodbank.

To enter, simply share a photo on Instagram of your favourite holiday meal using local, BC ingredients. In your caption, share a little about your food picture and be clear about what local products were used to make it. There will be two prizes, one for the highest engagement, plus a bonus draw prize open to all entries. The photo with the highest engagement (most comments and likes) will win a $1000 donation to their local foodbank. Get creative and encourage your community to rally behind your post! For the bonus draw prize, participants will get one contest entry for every #BuyBC product featured in their post!

Quesnel and District 4-H caps off year with photography auction

The club has photography from two of its members up for auction on Facebook. Bidding is open from Nov. 18 to 25.

One of the district’s key leaders, Cody Dillabough, said usually the photography would be sold off during the livestock auction, but COVID-19 meant they needed to postpone.

Dear 4-H Community,
It's my honour to introduce myself to you at this time. My name is Deanna Lambert, your newly elected 4-H Provincial Council President. I am humbled to serve this wonderful community of like-minded individuals.
4-H'ers are wonderful at 'Learn to do by Doing' and this is the perfect time to be resilient and to adapt to the new opportunities that this trying time presents.
I hope we can all move forward with a positive outlook and find ways to be creative and deliver a successful 2020 4-H British Columbia Year. Who knows, we may even find some amazing resources, great delivery methods, and fantastic experiences that we will never forget!
