A big thank-you to everyone who participated in the first ever 4-H BC Great Pumpkin Challenge! 

We know a lot of contestants lost their pumpkins due to the heat wave and wildfires this year, but we really appreciate all your efforts. As a result, the submissions we received for both the heaviest giant pumpkin and miniature pumpkin craft creation categories were less than we anticipated but still fantastic nonetheless!

Below are the winning pumpkin submissions for each category. If you would like to view photos of the winning pumpkins, they will be posted on the website under “News” and on the 4-H BC social media pages. Winning members will be contacted with the details about their prizes shortly. 

Heaviest Giant Pumpkin:

1st Place – Joe F, Junior – 202.0 lbs

2nd Place – Margaret P, Senior – 156.0 lbs

3rd Place – Emily B, Junior – 119.0 lbs

Best Miniature Pumpkin Craft Creation:

1st Place – Piper P, Cloverbud – Fall, Flowers and a Fox 

2nd Place – Rachael F, Senior – Glow in the Dark

3rd Place – McKenna W, Junior – 1st Place for Heaviest Pumpkin at the County Fair!
