Job Posting - Discover 4-H Day Camp Coordinator

This position reports to the 4-H BC Manager and works in collaboration with other roles on the 4-H BC and Ministry of Agriculture Youth Development staff teams. This is a part time term position of 30 hours per week for 12 weeks beginning June 07, 2021. The position is based from the 4-H BC office with the option of combining with working remotely. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate will be expected to work some evenings and weekends, and travel throughout the Province as required by the organization.


The Discover 4-H Day Camp Coordinator is responsible for:

• Working with Volunteer Support Coordinator on creating the camp schedule
• Logistics and planning of camps including securing of locations and booking of venues
• Working with Communications and Marketing Coordinator to market and promote camps
• Determine, source and purchase required supplies for program
• Co-facilitation of four one-day camps for youth ages 9 - 12
• Completion of post-program reporting
• Promotion of 4-H program
• Records management and archiving

• Ability to work independently and as a team member


Requirements:

• Valid BC Driver’s License
• BC Driver’s Abstract
• Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector
• First Aid and Safety certification
• Must be willing to travel
• 4-H knowledge an asset

Compensation:

• Compensation: $20.00 per hour
