Summer Edition 2017
Over the last five years I have had the pleasure of interacting with many of you through my role as Administrative Services Coordinator in the 4-H BC office. Since the end of March I have also been filling in as Acting Manager while the search for a permanent Manager is under way. It’s been a busy time in the 4-H office, so we are very fortunate to have Jenna Duke with us this summer to help out. On June 10th we held our 4th 4-H BC Gator Lottery Draw at Davison Orchards. In addition to the Lottery Draw we also hosted a pancake breakfast in celebration of Canada’s 150 birthday. July 15th found us at WestGen in Abbotsford for the first of our 4-H BC Community Fun Days. Gina Haambuckers did a fantastic job planning and executing this event. There was a bouncy castle, games, face painting along with Meet My 4-H Project displays and Speak and Shows by local 4-H members. Guest were treated to free bbq hotdogs and chips, plus milk donated by the BC Dairy Association. Thank you to all our Partners, 4-H members, leaders and volunteers that made these days a success!
