YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange Program (SWSE)
The SWSE Program runs out of the YMCA of Greater Toronto Area and is a 6 week long summer exchange for students aged 16 and 17. You will spend 6 weeks in a French community, most likely in Quebec, where you will be provided with a full-time paid job. Participants also do activities 3 times a week with their local coordinator and group of other students. It's a great opportunity for youth to not only improve their second language, but also to gain independence and responsibility. The entire program (including transportation) only costs $125, so it's easily accessible for all students.
