Make a Difference with 4-H BC!

Thanks to the commitment of our sponsors, 4‑H BC youth gain access to exceptional leadership and life‑skills programs that inspire growth, confidence, and resilience. Together, we are building future leaders who will make a lasting impact on agriculture, the environment, and communities across Canada.

We’re working to provide ALL youth with access to activities and experiences that develop the skills they need to succeed in work and in life.

  • Projects

4-H offers a wide variety of available projects to choose from! Some are progressive in nature; others are specific to the animal or skill being learned. The variety of programs means there's a lot to learn and ample challenge for both younger and older members. As part of each project, 4-H members keep records of their work throughout the year. Clubs also plan activities such as demonstrations, judging, building educational displays, public speaking, camping, fund-raising or just having fun!

  • Provincial Programs

4‑H BC’s provincial programs allow youth to connect with peers across the province! Many programs offer multi‑day immersive experiences that strengthen teamwork, self‑esteem, and personal responsibility. Opportunities such as Food for Thought and Agri‑Career Quest expose youth to real‑world agricultural challenges and careers, while Provincial Communications and the Ambassador Program encourage creativity, community engagement, and public outreach. Altogether, these programs empower young people to “Learn to Do by Doing,” preparing them to become capable, engaged, and informed leaders in their communities.

  • Scholarships

Each year, 4-H British Columbia is proud to support our members as they take their next steps into post-secondary education. Through a wide range of scholarships, we recognize the leadership, dedication, and hands-on experience that 4-H members gain throughout their time in the program. These awards help bridge the journey from club projects to classrooms, labs, trades programs, and vocational training. Some awards focus on agriculture-related studies such as ag-science, agri-business, or agricultural trades, while many others are open to any field of study, celebrating the diverse passions and career paths of our members.
